Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 August 2026
Just One Chesed ("we", "us") runs chesedcampaigns.org, where people sign up to fundraise for our work and supporters donate to them. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who this covers
Participants — people who register to fundraise. Donors — people who give. Visitors — anyone who browses the site or uses the contact form.
What we collect
If you register as a participant, we ask for your name, email address, postal address, country, phone number, date of birth, gender, and identity or passport number, along with details about your participation: running category, expected finish time, clothing sizes, school or institution, how you heard about us, and the name of your ambassador. We also ask for an emergency contact's name and phone number. You may add a photo and write your own page text.
We collect your identity or passport number because the race organiser requires it for race registration. It is not used for any other purpose.
If you donate, we collect your name, email address, the amount, and any message or dedication you write. If you ask us to notify someone about a dedication, we collect that person's email address from you.
We never see or store your card details. Card entry happens inside Stripe's own secure fields. We hold only a reference token, the card brand, and the last four digits.
Automatically, we record IP addresses and basic request information when you sign up, sign in, or use the contact form. We use these to prevent abuse.
What is shown publicly
Registering creates a public fundraising page immediately, showing your name, your photo and page text if you add them, your goal, and how much you have raised. It is visible to anyone with the link and can be indexed by search engines.
Donations appear on the page you gave to, showing the donor's name, amount, and message. If you tick "Hide my name" your name is not shown publicly and is not shown to the fundraiser. If you tick "Hide the amount" the amount is not shown publicly. Our staff can still see both, because we have to issue receipts, process refunds, and answer questions about gifts.
How we use it
To run your fundraising page and record donations to it. To send you transactional email — confirmations, receipts, notifications when someone donates to your page, and sign-in links. To send campaign updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link in the email; transactional messages continue regardless. To issue tax receipts and keep the financial records the law requires. To detect and prevent abuse of our forms.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf: Supabase (our database, accounts and uploaded files, United States), Stripe (payments and card processing, United States), Resend (sending our email, United States), Vercel (hosting the website and its request logs, United States), Google (address suggestions while you type an address, United States), and Cloudflare (bot protection on our forms, global).
This means your data is transferred outside Israel and stored in the United States.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else except where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
Financial records — donations, receipts and the information needed to support them — are kept for 7 years, as tax and charity record-keeping require.
Participant profiles and fundraising page content are kept for 3 years after your last campaign, and then deleted.
Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe.
IP addresses and abuse-prevention logs are kept for 90 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it where we are not required to keep it, stop sending you campaign email (the unsubscribe link in any campaign email does this immediately), or object to how we use it.
To make a request, email info@justonechesed.org. We will respond within 30 days.
Please note that we cannot delete financial records inside the 7-year retention period described above, because we are required to keep them.
If you gave us someone else's details
If you added an emergency contact, or asked us to notify someone about a dedication, please make sure they are content for you to share their details with us.
Young people
Some of our fundraising categories are open to people under 18, and a participant's page shows their name and, if they add one, their photo. We do not ask for separate parental consent when someone registers, and any age requirements set by the event organiser apply in addition to this policy. If you are under 18, please register with your parent or guardian's knowledge. A parent or guardian can email info@justonechesed.org at any time to have a page taken down or a young person's details removed, and we will act on that request.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top.
